Caroline, Rob, and Josephine: Weekend Away...

So our weekend in Rhode Island got off to quite the start! When me and Jo spend the weekend in RI we meet my sister half way and she takes me and Jo the 2nd leg of the journey. Well, on our way... we start hearing this noise. It sounded EXACTLY like a helicopter, except REALLY loud as if a helicopter was like 20 feet above our car. And we start trying to look up as we look at each other with fear and then all of a sudden I start smelling burnt rubber and I say "PULL OVER, I THINK IT'S US, ALLYSON PULL OVER!" So we pull over, and it basically looks like my sister's back tire EXPLODED. I've never seen anything like it before! We we're on the side of a busy highway, the breakdown lane is NOT very wide, and cars are going past us at like 90! We could feel our car shake everytime another car drove past us. So my sister had to call AAA and they were going to send a cop because we had a baby in the car (don't exactly know what he would have done... but it was nice =) But before he could even get there, AAA did and changed the tire. Meanwhile.... Josephine is sleeping through this WHOLE thing. She started sleeping like 2 minutes after my sister started driving and didn't wake up till like 10 minutes after we take off from the accident. I was amazed at that! Oh! And get this... when my sister went to get a new tire (she was driving on a donut) they said her front one was about to go too! It was all bubbling up and what not... we must have gone over quite the pot hole! Here are some pictures documenting the excitement:

We went to the mall and GUESS WHAT! I finally found pants for Josephine! I got her 4 pairs and 3 pajama sets! I'm so close to the end of this long, loooong process of phasing out Jo's old clothes that I'm squeezing her in and replacing them with clothes that she fits into and will fit into for awhile, so glad!

My bestfriend Kim came over on Saturday night and ofcourse we ignored her the whole time while we cuddled with baby Layla, KIDDING!!! Here's my mom, Allyson, and me snuggling up with Layla!

Jo has so much fun when she's naked haha and then when she got dressed... I put her in my sister's hamper! haha she loved it. Please note: I didn't really close the lid on her haha but everytime I would start to lower it she'd look up and laugh... strange child haha.

I love how Jo's hair is all staticy in this picture! I was putting a blanket over here and then pulling it off, another weird thing that makes her hysterically laugh!

When we went out to lunch Jo kept grabbing at my plate and it was a small table so it was really hard to keep things away from her haha. She grabbed a piece of lettuce out of my salad and sucked and chewed on it the whole time we were there. In the first picture... she's reaching into my salad for a tomato and then she threw it straight on the floor...
