Beach Day...

Well, not really. We've been to the beach 4 times so far this summer and never have we really gone on a real "beach day." It's either REALLY windy, therefore creating a sand storm, or pretty chilly etc. etc. yet we stick it out for Jo! She just looooves to play in the sand and never cares about anything else going on. She's getting braver and braver with the water. She's still not going in it or even really letting it touch her but she's going really close to it without freaking out or acting like it's going to kill us like she used to! She loves water in any other circumstance, baths, washing her hands, kiddie pools etc. etc. but it's just something about the ocean that USED to terrify her! I predict that by the end of the summer she'll be actually going and playing in the water at the beach!

Here's video evidence of how brave Jo has gotten! I love when the water is coming closer and closer and she just keeps backing up further and further haha!

Here's Jo this morning eating her cereal out of pan... because she REALLY wanted to and said "please" haha.

Here's Jo this evening after a nice bath, all cleaned up from the beach! The overall cleaning that is involved after a day at the beach is absolutely ASTONISHING!

Random Pictures...

Jo turned 23 months old yesterday. So I was about to move all the pictures taken this month to my "22 Months Old" folder on my external hard drive and thought I'd post some random pictures from this past month that hadn't been posted yet.

My Crazy Child...

Tonight we went out to dinner at a pretty nice/fancy restaurant that we'd never go to unless we had a gift certificate there (which we did, of course!) here is Jo being an absolute nut on the way.

Fist of all... Rob bought her this baton (brilliant idea, right?) and she's been obsessed with it since. She insisted on bringing it to the car and was actually really good about having to leave it in the car when we got to the restaurant. Here she is sticking it out the window on the way there...

Here's Jo playing in the parking lot of the restaurant while we waited for Daddy to take care of the bill... isn't this grass ridiculously green!? it's blinding! haha

Here's a HILARIOUS video of Jo in the car. She was being so crazy, singing and talking non-stop. This totally cracks me up the entire time.

Update On House Hunting...

You know how I said that we had 5 picked out to see on Thursday and less than 12 hours later before we are about to go see them we found out 2 were already under agreement? Well... we found out ON THE WAY to our first house that a 3rd was now under agreement... then we find out when we get to the first house that the 4th house is under agreement! So the house we were at was the only one we were seeing that day! Long story short. We loved it. Put an offer in the next morning (this morning). And we found out a couple of hours later they went with another offer. We REALLY didn't expect to get it because apparently there has been a bidding war going on the past 5 days and people kept getting countered and we were entering so late in the game so our real estate agent told us we most likely wouldn't get countered and they'd probably go with someone else if our offer wasn't the best. We really weren't expecting to get it but thought we'd try anyway.

Our agent has this automatically updated list on his website of all the properties for sale that meet our criteria and are in the areas we picked so I was going through that tonight and I see one of the houses that we were supposed to see yesterday that they said was now under agreement. It doesn't say it has an accepted offer (some of the houses on the list will say it has an accepted offer but they keep it on the market for a little longer) so we'd clearly see if it did. I just e-mailed our agent and asked what's up with that.

AHHH! This is so frustrating. It's as if you literally need to put an offer in after 10 minutes of seeing the house or else it'll get taken. This business is way too fast for me!

House Hunting...

If you know me, you know I don't like to wait for anything. I'm not very patient to say the least. So it's not very surprising that this whole buying a house process is KILLING ME!!!!!! I just want it done and over with! And houses are getting swept up from under our feet before we even get to look at them! Houses are flying off the shelf! I picked out 5 to look at today and as of last night they were all ready to go and then today I find out 2 of them are under agreement. GEEEZ! I told Rob that if we see a house we love and the price is right then we just need to put an offer in ASAP because I swear if I see a house we love and we go home to "think about it" and then the next day it's under agreement I'll just be really pissed off haha. We saw 5 the first day we went out and 1 of them we really liked but it's a short sale, which long story short means it could take SEVERAL months to find out if we get it or not! Yeah... not for me. The houses we're seeing today aren't short sales so I'm hoping and praying we find something today!!! Wish us luck!

Randomness, yay!

I had some strawberry cake mix that was going to expire in a few weeks so I decided to make a cake yesterday. Since it was strawberry cake and I have TONS of frozen strawberries I planned to decorate it with strawberries on top of the frosting. Don't ask me why but it occurred to me that I also had blueberries and red, white, and blue sprinkles so why not make an American flag cake! hahaha

Here's Jo playing in the new cat toy upstairs... apparently this is all she needs for her birthday because she's been having a blast with it haha.

Here's Jo showing us how she can do a split...
