Cranky, cranky, CRANKY!

Jo was a crank MONSTER today. Excuse my langage, but teething is really a bitch for her! So she was pretty much wearing her cranky pants for most of the day but managed to take a few funny pictures this evening when she was in a slightly better mood.

Here is Jo showing off her new talent... getting on her knees so she can pull herself up in the playard. I'm so impressed at how fast, effortlessly she can do it!

As you can see... Jo is wearing a cute one piece outfit today with little flamingos on it. Well, how's this for coordination... MATCHING SOCKS! haha


And here are some pictures of Jo thinking she can crawl haha she's constantly trying to crawl over you or somewhere. She doesn't sit still for a minute! In the first picture, she's doing this weird new thing where she'll rub her hands all over her upper body. If she's wearing clothes she'll rub her hands all over her belly and stuff and then start pulling on her clothes as if to say "GET THESE OFF OF ME!" haha it's so strange but she keeps doing it and I actually caught it on camera! In the last 2 pictures you can see my husband trying to keep her away from my computer so he sits her over on the other side of him and then she just tries to go back haha she never stops!






And last but not least! Jo in one of her new sleep sets that only cost me $4.99 for each set!!!

Weekend Away...

So our weekend in Rhode Island got off to quite the start! When me and Jo spend the weekend in RI we meet my sister half way and she takes me and Jo the 2nd leg of the journey. Well, on our way... we start hearing this noise. It sounded EXACTLY like a helicopter, except REALLY loud as if a helicopter was like 20 feet above our car. And we start trying to look up as we look at each other with fear and then all of a sudden I start smelling burnt rubber and I say "PULL OVER, I THINK IT'S US, ALLYSON PULL OVER!" So we pull over, and it basically looks like my sister's back tire EXPLODED. I've never seen anything like it before! We we're on the side of a busy highway, the breakdown lane is NOT very wide, and cars are going past us at like 90! We could feel our car shake everytime another car drove past us. So my sister had to call AAA and they were going to send a cop because we had a baby in the car (don't exactly know what he would have done... but it was nice =) But before he could even get there, AAA did and changed the tire. Meanwhile.... Josephine is sleeping through this WHOLE thing. She started sleeping like 2 minutes after my sister started driving and didn't wake up till like 10 minutes after we take off from the accident. I was amazed at that! Oh! And get this... when my sister went to get a new tire (she was driving on a donut) they said her front one was about to go too! It was all bubbling up and what not... we must have gone over quite the pot hole! Here are some pictures documenting the excitement:

We went to the mall and GUESS WHAT! I finally found pants for Josephine! I got her 4 pairs and 3 pajama sets! I'm so close to the end of this long, loooong process of phasing out Jo's old clothes that I'm squeezing her in and replacing them with clothes that she fits into and will fit into for awhile, so glad!

My bestfriend Kim came over on Saturday night and ofcourse we ignored her the whole time while we cuddled with baby Layla, KIDDING!!! Here's my mom, Allyson, and me snuggling up with Layla!





Jo has so much fun when she's naked haha and then when she got dressed... I put her in my sister's hamper! haha she loved it. Please note: I didn't really close the lid on her haha but everytime I would start to lower it she'd look up and laugh... strange child haha.





I love how Jo's hair is all staticy in this picture! I was putting a blanket over here and then pulling it off, another weird thing that makes her hysterically laugh!


And here are some of the BEST pictures ever! Jo playing dress up! haha sooo funny, I love this, and she was seriously loving every moment of it!








When we went out to lunch Jo kept grabbing at my plate and it was a small table so it was really hard to keep things away from her haha. She grabbed a piece of lettuce out of my salad and sucked and chewed on it the whole time we were there. In the first picture... she's reaching into my salad for a tomato and then she threw it straight on the floor...



And that pretty much sums up our weekend in Rhode Island! Hope everyone else had a great weekend! =)

Hooray!

Seriously... my stove was bothering me all day haha. I must have been using the wrong type of cleaner (I have about a million) so I tried another one and it seemed to work a lot better. Here is a before and after shot. The first picture is the one I posted earlier today, after I had already tried to clean it and was discouraged. The 2nd picture is what it looks like now!


I feel a lot better now =) haha I know, I'm crazy!!! I probably could've gotte even more off but my good scrubbing hand was getting tired =)

Josephine's favorite thing in this world is The Backyardigans. I usually let her watch it while she eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here is what her face looks like every time the opening comes on:


Then we went in the bedroom so Jo could watch me switch out the humidifier that broke AGAIN (we've had 2 of the same kind) and bring in the new and better Vicks humidifier:

So Jo has been really cranky lately because she's definitely teething again which I think is making her take short naps again (Ugh...) But she really calmed down we she was sitting in her car and playing with the controls and sound effects...



As you can see from these pictures, her nose has been running like crazy! It's horrible... and you all now how babies react when you wipe their noses haha she's actually been pretty 50/50 with not freaking out and freaking out in terms of the nose wipe, very impressive.

Jo is definitely teething again! It's so sad. She really enjoys her teething rings though. You can see the fountain of drool in these pictures haha... here she is being so tired that she is acting silly and drunk haha she also started crying out of nowhere when I was done taking these pictures... soooo tired! P.s. I LOVE the picture of her playing the drums haha










We're going to RI tomorrow for the weekend so I'll definitely have adventurous pictures my next few posts! =)
