Mystic, Connecticut Day 3

Today was a day of exploration! We woke up, had breakfast, and hung around until Jo took her nap at 11. After I turned the TV off to give Jo a nap I started hearing this noise... it was sorta like a 'drip drop' noise but it sounded weird... I asked Rob if he heard it and he said he thought it was coming from the bed. So I'm looking... then I start feeling the corner because I thought something might have been rubbing against the leather-like head board but instead I just felt wetness, A LOT of wetness... our ceiling was leaking!!! It rained like all night and all morning (it stopped during her nap and never started again, yay!) and I look up and there are 2 wet spots on the ceiling and there are 2 leaks going onto the bed! It must have been going on for awhile because it was REALLY wet and we just didn't hear it because of the TV. Then... I hear it again... from the bathroom! There were 2 leaks in the bathroom too! I decided not to go down and tell them at the front desk until after Jo's nap because she was reeeally tired but we ended up changing out room later tonight and they gave us a free pass to the breakfast buffet tomorrow! (Which is usually $15 a person... hence why we haven't been) so it should be good!

We started off by going to the Aquarium for a little bit. Our tickets are good for 3 days so I wanna go for a tiny bit tomorrow morning as well, because Jo is BEST FRIENDS with this beluga whale there! haha Then we went exploring on Main Street in downtown Mystic, then we went and explored the surrounding areas; New London and Groton. We went out to dinner, and then came back to the hotel to move our rooms. Jo stayed up until 10 pm tonight! But she fell asleep within 10 minutes (I started at 10 pm putting her to sleep) a lot better than last night... I think I started too early! Tomorrow will be Josephine's last day with this late 2nd nap business, this is certainly not going to be a usual thing! haha But it certainly came in handy during a vacation! Tomorrow we are going to go to Roger Williams Park Zoo in my hometown of Providence, RI! It's pretty much in between where we are now and Boston. Then we're going to hit up this fantastic mall that's on the way home and finally home sweet home!

After the aquarium we came across this AMAZING playground. This was by far the neatest, coolest, nicest playground we have EVER seen. It was just insane, I really should have taken a picture of the whole thing but I wasn't thinking about my blogger friends at the time! haha here are some pictures of Jo enjoying it...




And here is my little angel taking her 2nd nap, let me tell you... if we go driving any time after 4:30 Jo is asleep within SECONDS. We better watch out once we get home because I do not want this happening back in Boston! haha

Well, that's day 3 for ya! I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures from the zoo tomorrow, especially since we're meeting up with my bestfriend Kim and her little baby Layla! Yay!
